Course Description
This course provides knowledge and insight into Protection Philosophy, which includes the rationale, understanding and function of protection, types of disturbances and their prevention, main and backup protection of Protection Relays, including the definition, function and requirements of relays, static and mechanical relays, Overcurrent Relays, understanding, working principle, type, configuration, use of Distance Relay, including, working principle, type, configuration, use of Differential Relay, including, working principle, type, configuration, use of Voltage Relay, including, working principle, type, configuration, use of Power Relay, includes, working principles, types, configurations, use of Directional Relays, includes, working principles, types, configurations, uses of Generator Protection Circuit Breakers, includes types of faults, protection devices, configuration & working systems of Transformer Protection, includes types of faults, protection devices, configurations & Transmission Network Protection work system, including types of disturbances, protection devices, configuration & work systems Distribution Network Protection, including types of disturbances, protection devices, configuration & work systems Motor Protection, including types of disturbances, protection devices, configuration & work systems.
Program Objectives (PO)
- Menerapkan prinsip dasar dan komponen sistem proteksi tenaga listrik dalam skema proteksi sederhana (C3)
- Menganalisis karakteristik dan koordinasi antara relay arus lebih (overcurrent) dan relay gangguan tanah (ground fault) pada sistem distribusi (C4)
- Mengevaluasi kinerja dan keandalan sistem proteksi diferensial untuk generator dan transformator tenaga berdasarkan data gangguan (C5)
- Mendesain skema proteksi jarak (distance protection) untuk saluran transmisi dengan mempertimbangkan setting zone dan karakteristik impedansi (C6)
- Menganalisis kebutuhan dan menerapkan sistem proteksi busbar serta proteksi dari gangguan hubung singkat asimetris (C4)
- Mengevaluasi pemilihan dan setting relay proteksi berdasarkan studi koordinasi proteksi (protection coordination study) untuk sistem tenaga yang kompleks (C5)
- Menciptakan solusi desain sistem proteksi yang terintegrasi (seperti differential, overcurrent, dan distance) untuk melindungi suatu bagian sistem tenaga listrik hipotetis (C6)
- Menganalisis pengaruh gangguan harmonik dan transien terhadap kinerja sistem proteksi digital dan numerik (C4)
- Menerapkan konsep redundansi dan selektivitas dalam konfigurasi sistem proteksi untuk meningkatkan keandalan (C3)
